  • Do you only work with clients who have eating disorders?

    While eating disorders are a core focus, I also work with women facing a range of mental health concerns. If you're unsure whether we’d be a good fit, feel free to reach out for a consultation.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    We do not participate directly in any managed care plans. Client pay for sessions at the time of the service. If you have a PPO insurance plan, I’m happy to offer a special receipt that you can submit

  • Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

    Yes! Research tells us that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many people. It also offers convenience and accessibility.

  • What types of therapy approaches do you use?

    Therapy should be a collaborative and evolving process - there is no one “right” way. That being said, I do draw from different approaches and use tools from a multitude of theoretical orientations - I often draw from Cognitive Processing Therapy, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Feminist … I also work from a Health at Every Size lens.

  • What is Health at Every Size (HAES)?

    Health at Every Size (HAES) is a framework that supports people of all body sizes in pursuing health and happiness without focusing on weight or weight loss. I focus on body acceptance, and identity what your goals are for YOU, rather than changes in your body. Care is compassionate and focused on overall wellbeing.

  • Where is your office?

    Chestnut Hill Therapy is all virtual. Services are available to individuals throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
